January 2000 e*Message Founded

e*Message Wireless Information Services GmbH (e*Message) is founded in Berlin.
DeTeMobile sells its paging subcomany Q business information counter with its products Cityruf, Skyper and Scall to e*Message. Shareholders, most of the management and employees have already operated successfully with professional mobile communication in the nineties.

April 2000 e*Message Takes Over the Paging Activities of Sprintel, Stratus and France Telecom

The e*Message group takes over France Telecom Mobiles Radiomessagerie (FTMR), as well as two service providers, Stratus (Lyon) and Sprintel (Versailles). The former FTMR products (Tatoo, Alphapage and Expresso) are now marketed by the French subsidiary, e*Message France. e*Message now covers 135 million inhabitants in Europe, and is thus the leader in the continental paging market. The company is the first operator to achieve such coverage in Europe.

May 2000 European Headquarters Opens

The e*Message headquarters is officially opened in Berlin, with customers, politicians and co-operation partners attending.

September 2000 New French Headquarters Opens

e*Message France opens its new head office in Le Chesnay (near Paris) and participates in the Semaine des Télécoms, France's major telecommunications trade fair.
