e*Message takes over Sila Communications France, a Reuters and Aether Systems division, thus opening a new branch in France. The take-over is part of the group's strategy to transmit high-quality financial data to major banks and investors over e*Message's powerful network.

April 2002 IMST Study Rport

IMST GmbH, a company based in Kamp-Lintfort, Germany, recently analyzed the radiation of the e*Message pagers. Result of the study: the radiation is "below the sensitivity of the DASY3 measuring instrument", i.e. less than 0.005 W/kg. Pagers can therefore be used in sensitive areas where mobile phones are prohibited.

August 2002 24-hour Pager Hotline for the German Flood Areas

Once-in-a-century flood on the Elbe. e*Message sets up a 24-hour hotline for the German flood regions and donates immediate disaster service. Hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers are outfitted with pagers. e*Message's satellite-based network is the only communication network that remains unimpaired by the flood.
